Excusing ourselves from following Christ is not a trend invented in this generation.  For as long as Jesus has offered the invitation to follow him, people have been finding reasons why they cannot or will not.  In our text for this week, we’ll be looking at a montage of people rejecting Jesus’ and hearing Jesus respond to their lame excuses.  Bring your best excuses this week and see if they survive hearing the difficult words of Jesus?
