Resurrection Sunday was an emotional roller coaster the likes of which has probably not been seen in all the rest of human history. For Jesus’ disciples, chief among the emotions going into that day would have been fear. These followers of his would be confronting the prospect of life without Jesus and the potential of the persecution that had ended their Master seeking to end them as well. Matthew 28 records one of the earliest directives of the resurrected Jesus to those disciples: “Do not be afraid!”. Join us as we consider how resurrection should impact our fear.
